MAES, Yvonne Alvina (Nee Grozelle) - Peacefully passed away October 13 2011 surrounded by her family, at the home of her daughter Sue & John Thyret, following a brief illness with brain cancer. Yvonne was in her 84th year of a very full life. Beloved wife of the late Camiel Gerard Maes, she was also predeceased by her sister's Cecile Mailloux & Theresa Duval. Yvonne was the loving mother of seven children; Linda (Rick Dennis) of Markham, Don (Mary) Maes of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Sue (John Thyret) of Lambton Shores, Ken (Donna) Maes of Komoka, Doug (Nicki) Maes of Moose Jaw SK, Betty (Gerald Pichette) of Timmins, Mike Maes of Mt.Brydges. She cherished her grandchildren Kathy (Peter) Moffat & Jeff (Samanatha) Dennis, Chris, Adam & Samantha Maes, Jason (Carol) Viaene, Angela (Daniel) McHardy, Andrea (Matt) Brown, Jamie (Andrea) Maes, Sarah (Mike) Mantler, Selena Maes, Anna Tzortzis, Natasha Ratajczak, Angelique & Dominique Pichette, Joshua & Danielle Maes. Babies were one of her greatest joys and she was a great-grandmother to Jessica & Tyler Moffat, Emily, Kate & Ben Viaene, Maggie & Charlotte McHardy, John & Braden Brown, Ethan Maes, Diezel Cornford, Brett McCoy and Timmy Long. Yvonne will be greatly missed by her sisters Rita Mailloux, Juliette Quesnelle, Stella (Omer) Lesperance all of Penetanguishene, and her brother Edmund (Ophelia) Grozelle of Strathroy. She is survived by her two remaining sister-in-laws Ethel Noyes of Strathroy and Bernadine Noyes of Marshall Minnesota. Numerous nieces & nephews loved their aunt. Yvonne was born in Tiny Township, Ontario on December 17 1927, married Camiel and spent all of her married life in Mt.Brydges. Following Camiels death, she returned to the Penetanguishene area and continued to lead an active life there. Family and friends will be received at ELLIOTT-MADILL FUNERAL HOME Mt.Brydges on Friday October 14 from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. A funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday commencing at 11am from Sacred Heart Parish Delaware. Father Matthew Bedard officiating. A private internment of ashes Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
